Part-time Retail Sales Associate

Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and personable Sales & Design Associate to join our team approximately 30 hours per week. This position goes beyond traditional retail and is perfect for someone with an interest in interiors, styling, hospitality, merchandising, or boutique retail operations.
The right candidate will work closely alongside our Manager in day-to-day store operations, customer experience, merchandising, design projects, seasonal installations, events, and overall business growth. This role has strong long-term growth potential for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide exceptional customer service and create a warm, welcoming shopping experience
-Assist customers with furniture, décor, and gift selections
-Build genuine relationships and confidently engage in conversation with a wide variety of customers
-Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system
-Assist with merchandising, styling, and maintaining the overall appearance of the showroom
-Help execute seasonal floor changes, holiday installations, and window displays
-Assist with receiving, unpacking, organizing, and moving inventory
-Support local events, in-store gatherings, and holiday planning
-Assist with customer orders, deliveries, and day-to-day operational tasks
-Contribute ideas creatively and proactively in a collaborative small-business environment
-Assist with social media content creation and brand presence if applicable
Qualifications and Traits:
-Previous retail, furniture sales, customer service, hospitality, or boutique experience preferred
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Naturally warm, personable, and comfortable talking with people
-Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
-Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design, styling, and presentation
-Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
-Comfortable lifting and moving furniture, boxes, and inventory (25–40 lbs.)
-Weekend availability is required, including holiday weekends and seasonal events
-Interest in interior design, home furnishings, visual merchandising, or lifestyle retail strongly preferred
-Social media or content creation experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation and Benefits:
-Starting pay begins at $15/hour based on experience
